Request a Ride
Ride requests need to be made by 1:00pm the day before the scheduled ride. Rides scheduled after that time are subject to the “same day” fare of .50 more each way.
Ride Confirmation
Dispatchers will generally confirm your ride while you are on the phone with them. If you are using the Common Carrier/Volunteer Driver Program our dispatchers will confirm your ride the day before your scheduled trip by phone.
*If you have not received a call from a dispatcher by 4:00pm the day before your scheduled ride, please contact us.
Ride Cancellations
If you need to cancel a ride that has been scheduled, please call us at least one hour ahead of your scheduled pick-up time. Rides that are not cancelled at least an hour before the scheduled pick-up may be considered a no-show. No-show rides can have a negative impact on a rider’s ability to obtain future rides.
No Show Policy
Timber Trails Public Transit works hard to provide reliable, timely service for all riders. To help us stay on schedule, riders must be ready and available 15 minutes before their scheduled pick-up time. Because cancellations, weather, road conditions, and traffic can affect arrival times, this 15-minute window gives us the flexibility needed to serve all riders. When the bus arrives, riders must board or make themselves visible to the driver within 3-5 minutes. If a rider is not ready or does not appear, the driver may leave and the trip may be marked as a no-show.
Riders with three or more no-shows may have their riding privileges suspended. Timber Trails will send a warning letter before any suspension. Our goal is to serve every rider safely and fairly, and that requires cooperation from everyone.
Out of County Agreement
Kanabec County – Timber Trails Public Transit may be able to provide rides to residents of other counties who are currently living in Kanabec County. These rides can be requested by a worker from the county who has responsibility. An “Out of County” (OOC) Transportation Agreement will need to be completed prior to rides being placed.
Links to the Transportation Agreements for MA/Access and Non-MA/Access are listed below.
**These rides are placed pending driver availability.
